How do I know if I am eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan?
Your GP will assess your eligibility for  a Mental Health Treatment Plan to see if the plan is appropriate for you, given your health care needs, and circumstances.  Book an appointment with your GP to see if you are eligible for the plan.  You do not need a Mental Health Treatment Plan to see a clinical psychologist. however, without the plan, you will not be eligible for the Medicare rebate of $136.35 for each 50 minute consultation.

How many sessions can be claimed?

Under a Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan, clients are eligible to see a clinical psychologist for up to 10 consultations within a calendar year (1st January to 31st December). At the start of each calendar year,  the 10 consultation limit refreshes, providing clients have a current Mental Health Treatment Plan.

How much do I get back from medicare?

Under a Medicare Mental Health Treatment Plan, clients can claim $136.35 back for each 50 minute consultation.  The full fee ($235.00) is paid on the day of your appointment, and your rebate will be processed subsequently.

How do I make an appointment?

To make an appointment, you can call, email or SMS Marissa and let her know that you would like to make an appointment to see her. Marissa will provide new clients with an initial, brief telephone-based discussion about your reason(s) for making an appointment, and to answer any questions you may have.

Existing clients can can book online directly via her online booking diary.

How long is each session?

Consultations are 50 minutes in duration and are generally held on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Can I book online if I'm a new client?

No. To make an appointment, you can call, email or SMS Marissa and let her know that you would like to make an appointment to see her. Marissa will provide new clients with an initial, brief telephone-based discussion about your reason(s) for making an appointment, and to answer any questions you may have.

Once you are an existing client, you can request a booking online directly via Marissa's online booking diary.

Why do I end up on an external website when I click ‘Book Now’?

When you click on the ‘book now’ buttons on the website, you will be redirected to Marissa's Halaxy Profile for online bookings.  Halaxy is protected by 256-bit bank-grade security and encryption.
